Wally Lawder and Suzy Ronstadt Social Distance Show

Catalina Craft Pizza, 15930 N Oracle Rd, Catalina, AZ

Suzy and I will return for a socially distant live performance. The idea is to serenade people picking up their to-go orders at Catalina Pizza, or to provide a bit of a "drive-in movie" type of experience. Car parking is blocked off in a checkerboard pattern and people are invited to stay for a while before or after their pickup or even eat in their cars or bring folding chairs. This isn't really a concert--that would be out of sync with advised precautions, but a way to lift the spirits of curbside pick-ups while respecting social distancing. So... we'd love to see you but if you come by please be sure you are supporting Catalina Craft Pizza by ordering food to pick up! Phone 520.825.0140, Website (with menu): . 15930 N. Duo show with Suzy Ronstadt

Catalina Craft Pizza, 15930 N Oracle Rd, Catalina, AZ

Wally Lawder grew up on the east coast. Suzy Ronstadt grew up on the west coast. They each have a lifetime of musical influences and since they met in Tucson a few years ago have enjoyed finding creative ways to team up to see where this synergy leads them! They enjoy combining Suzy’s lovely soprano voice with Wally’s pleasing baritone, performing lots of original songs and a few creative covers. While they have performed in numerous full band and ensemble shows together, duo shows are rare. In their duo shows. Wally plays guitar and they both enjoy adding some ukulele to the mix. Their combined sound might best be described as “folk-fusion”—fusing a lifetime of inspirations from many different genres into one easy going, acoustic-based style.

Wally Lawder and the Stragglers!

The Stragglers are a changeable bunch, and for this festival they are Suzy Ronstadt on backing vocals, Mike Markowitz on mandolin, Jim Dumbauld on bass and Jim Lipson on percussion. More info to come!

I just migrated this website over to another host so it will be a little messy for while, but for now I hope this gives you a bit of a picture of my music.

Here's a music video,  filmed in Hawaii, featuring one of the songs on my most recent CD. This one is called "The Tide".

I feel quite blessed to sit beside the beautiful wellspring of Music, to write songs and to have the privilege of performing them (live or recorded) with and for others. I hope you enjoy visiting my website!
